Or you could help me turn this house into a home. How does that sound? A house completely ruled by pins? Well within reason... just my reason, so no worries I am not known for having too much of that. If you have ever read Heart and Brain from The Awkward Yeti? Folks compare me to Heart, for a reason.
So what is this? What kind of stuff shall be attempted?
I don't know all of it yet, because flexibility has got me further than rigidity.
Here are some things I am quite sure that I will be needing assistance with; gardening, remodeling, meal planning, keeping my spawn alive and preserving my sanity, hey could you get me back to yoga? Wait no... ok... moving on. And it will all be on a budget and hopefully not too time intensive.
Here's my deal...
I'm a single mother, a couple years post divorce with three amazing spawn. They are my whole damn world. I will continue to do everything in my power to give them the tools to be just as cool when they are adults as they are now. My kids are older, with the youngest finishing up Elementary school and the oldest nearing the end of high school.
I work full time, in long term care. My career is artsy/craftsy, activity oriented as well as dabbling in Social Services. Its a cool gig. Love my peeps.
I am also a student. Like at school, not just life. We are all students.. but I get graded on my book learning again.
Our family also includes two dogs, and three cats. They are pretty epic.
We live in a fairly isolated area, there is a Walmart but Target is two hours away. Thats ok, we prefer thrifting regardless.
Volunteering is kind of a big deal in this house. Because well, why not? Be the change you want to see and all that.
We are kind of nerdy and have tastes that reflect that. We are also kind of crunchy. And definitely DIY.
So it is my hope that I can get this place to become my family's ultimate happy place and what better way than taking advantage of the vast world of Pinterest? So want to join me? I am hoping to get some collaboration boards going, then narrowing things down and a vote. Thats the plan for now anyway. Might change... but for now... I need help figuring out how to effectively use my deep kitchen drawers. Would you like to join me on this board to help. Lets be friends so we can collaborate and listen...
